Land lies on the southern edge of the former Evers Reservoir
SARASOTA, Fla. (August 22, 2018) – Tony Veldkamp, CCIM, SVN Commercial Advisory Group, recently coordinated the sale of more than 200 acres in the former Evers Reservoir in Bradenton, Florida. The purchase price of the property exceeded $10.5 million.
“This is a great piece of property and a great location,” said Veldkamp, senior advisor for the group who represented buyer Taylor Morrison Homes in the transaction.
The City of Bradenton had used the property on Honore Avenue east of Lockwood Ridge Road as a holding reservoir for municipal drinking water. The city’s move in recent years toward alternate water sources made the surplus land unnecessary, prompting the sale.
The property lies on the southern edge of the former reservoir area. It is well-positioned for development, Veldkamp said. “It’s an interesting situation: A big chunk of land in the center of everything, west of I-75,” he said. “Most new development today is to the east. To find this one is pretty incredible.”
