CRE advisor has long experience in investment banking, commercial brokerage
Sarasota, Fla. (January 24, 2022) – Longtime commercial real estate advisor Sudhir “Sid” Bhatt, CCIM, has joined SVN Commercial Advisory Group to enhance the team’s industrial e-commerce knowledge and overall expertise in commercial real estate.
Bhatt comes from the Patel Group of Marcus & Millichap. His areas of focus are third-party logistics, cold storage and sale-leasebacks in the net-lease sector.
“I’ll fit well into the collaborative structure, which is a cornerstone of SVN Commercial Advisory Group,” said Bhatt, who began his commercial brokerage career in 2008. “I’m especially looking forward to working with leasing and property management, adding my strengths and experience to the culture here.”
Sid is a graduate of Fordham University, NY, with a master of business administration. Bhatt received the coveted Certified Commercial Investment Member designation in 2010. He also holds a certificate of professional development from the University of Pennsylvania – The Wharton School.
Bhatt has enjoyed success in investment banking, working with private placement transactions. His activity in structured real estate projects has led to the implementation of more than $75 million in private placement transactions for overseas investors.
“I understand something about the total solution from a capital markets point of view: equity, debt and the actual development of the real estate,” Bhatt said. “Having a financing background allows me to understand objections and other issues I may run into. I’m glad to have that experience.”
Bhatt’s record was particularly impressive at a New York-based investment firm, where he produced high, six-figure earnings annually. In one major deal, he raised capital for a Big River Steel high-tech manufacturing facility in Arkansas – the largest industrial project in the state’s history.
Before becoming a commercial broker, Bhatt worked 20 years in sales and marketing management. During that time, he helped establish prominent corporate real estate projects across the United States and Canada.
