ANNA MARIA — A retail building on the island sold this month for $1.1 million.

Joe and Laurie Sabath of Chicago bought the property at 314 Pine Ave. that is home to Vinny & Cheryl’s Italian Kitchen and Three Island Monkeys furniture and gift shop.

The new owners financed with a $525,000 loan from Premier Community Bank that can be tapped for up to $1.05 million, records show.

Seller Sandfish LLC, a company headed by Jennifer Fullarton Powell of Christchurch, Dorset, England, bought the property for $880,000 in 2011.

The buyer was represented by Barbara Wong of Michael Saunders & Co. Angela Varga, an adviser with SVN Commercial Advisory Group, represented the seller.
